UPDATE!

Hi Claudia, I just wanted to let you know that Gracie (AKA Sky) is doing well.  She is so loveable, athletic and smart!  We really love having her.  I have attached a few pictures so you can see how beautiful she has become.  Thanks, Jackie and Keith Fisher

Georgie has discovered the thrill of rubbing in poop.  i've twice now brought her in and cleaned her up in two days.  this morning after her front feet and side of her face got scrubbed, she went out and rolled in ashes outside the fireplace cleanout  here's pics.cute, huh?  /sigh Only a mother could love it!!

UPDATE!!!   Here are a few of the VERY many pictures I took of our little one!

Claudia
Today my big boy scared off his first moose! His hackles went up and
he let her have it! He didn't attempt to chase after her, he stood
his ground on the deck and barked! He's such a good boy! : )

Hi Claudia, Sorry I have sent you any pictures yet.  He has gotten a little bigger but not much. The day we came home was a tough day for that little fella.     He immediately had diahratia and then threw up so many time I could count.  Finally it stopped and he slept the rest of the way home.  He seems to like it here, he has made himself very comfortable here with us. He has so many toys and scatters them in every room in the house.  He has stuff to play with in my sewing room and stays with me there most of the day.  He walks well on his leash. Now that it's below 100 we have been walking.   He loves to sit in the kitchen when I cook meals.  He is scarred of loud or strange noises.  He runs and plays in the yard with Roxie when they are outside.  He likes to jump on our laps when we are sitting and watching TV.  But he is learning not to do that one.
Your new puppies are beautiful.
Later, Barbara & Jay

Hi Claudia!   You may not remember us, but it's Todd and Whitney who bought Lily from you back in August, who by the way is doing amazing and the BEST dog I've ever had! Anyway, ever since we bought Lily we have checked your website regularly because we love looking at the new puppies!   Having said that, we are considering buying another border collie(this time for Todd), and would like to purchase from you again because we love Lily so very much! We noticed that Liz had another litter and are very interested in them along with the newest litter as well.   He would like a red/white male but gender isn't a definite, but a red and white is a for sure. I saw the note on your website that a lot of the new litter is spoken for, are both of the males already sold? Also, is Taft from Liz's litter still available? Could we come look at them? We would love to bring Lily with us and let you see how much she has grown! Anyway, we are very interested in purchasing another puppy so any information you have would be great!   About Lily...   She is almost 8 months old now and has honestly been an amazing puppy. FRISBEES ARE HER THING. She is obsessed. Frisbees and cats, she loooooves the cats. She doesn't try to hurt them or anything she just loooooves to stare and watch them-it's almost like she thinks she is protecting them!   On the Frisbee side, she is so good and that is all she wants to do! She doesn't care about any of her other toys, only the Frisbees. She has been playing and catching them since she was around four months old and now she is jumping and twisting and turning in the air to catch them, it's amazing! Now if only I could learn how to throw them well...hahaha   She is so loyal and quite the lover/cuddlier. She is smart and learns so quickly, training has been so easy- she's known sit, lay down, and stay since a few weeks after we got her! All she wants to do is please. She gets very upset and gets her feelings hurt very bad when she's scolded- she hates it. Good thing is she doesn't need to be scolded very often! She has great manners and gets along with every other dog she's ever met, she is extremely sweet natured! She is a big girl now- 36 pounds at her last visit to the vet although she doesn't look it at all. She hasn't really filled out yet so she's tall and lanky as you will see if we come visit to look at more puppies! And don't worry, she still has that very unique coloring and her ticking has gotten very dark but she is still beautiful!   Sorry to rave and rant on about her but all I can say is she's great and needs a new playmate and that means we need a new puppy! I know this was a long e-mail but I had a lot to catch you up on and look forward to hearing back from you soon!   Attached are some pictures from when she was around five or six months old- we need to take more soon but hopefully you will be able to see her in person!
Hope you are doing well,
Whitney and Todd

UPDATE!!! Hi Claudia, we have decided to name him maverick, and he is doing great.  Maverick is very vocal will definitely let you know when he wants something.  Lily was not to sure about him at first but now she really likes him and maverick just follows lily around and does exactly as she does.  So we are very pleased with him and could not ask for two better dogs. Im positive that he is going to be very smart, as he has already learned the command sit and lay down and NO.  We love both of them very much and will probably be coming back to you in the future to add to our herd.
Thanks,
Todd

Claudia, With Darby about 6 in half and Tytus almost 6, I still look at them with amazement almost daily.  They were remarkable additions to my life and still continue to enrich every day I see their beautiful faces.  They are still certified therapy dogs brightening people’s lives, they go to work with me every Friday where if I don’t bring them, my co-workers truly seem so disappointed and we just love to travel, hike swim and play as you can see from the pictures.  And everyone who takes the time to ask how I got them, I tell the story of the breeder who saw something in me that was good and let one of her favorite puppies go to me especially after this puppy give me sweet kisses on my neck letting me know that I was the one for her the one I would name Darby Sky Jean. We then became good friends through these precious animals and subsequently came along another litter six months later.  Claudia knew I wanted to give Darby a brother and kindheartedly told me I could pick the first from that litter. I had hoped for a full black in white boy of which he was the only boy and the only B&W born in his litter.  I believed that night he was made for me because my wish came true when I held him in the palm of my hand while he was less than 24 hours old.  I rightfully named him Tytus Shay which means and still stands true “Giant Gift”.  Of course telling that story is so much more animated in person, but I never get tired of telling it. Claudia, it was truly a blessing meeting you back in April of 2002 in PetSmart, of all places, when you let me hold beautiful blue eyed 3 week old Puppy while you paid the cashier.  And after looking through your site and seeing what you have turned your passion into, I now know that I have been truly blessed to enjoy two beautiful loving dogs from two precious litters. Thank you just doesn’t seem to fully convey how much I’m am blessed by you.  Never stop giving such a great gift to so many people.
Love, Dena, Darby and Tytus

Claudia - Zip is doing great.  Knows quite a few words or phrases.   Loves working the horses. Must be about 2/3 his grown size. Only problem that I have is when he sees a rabbit he's gone. We live too close to a major highway for him to be doing that. He is going to school now.

At Nine Months

I am Don Henderson from Texarkana.  My daughter, Kristi Rankin, has Terra 11 month female red border collie purchased from you 9 months ago.  I spoke with you Wed. evening per phone requesting stud service from one of your males.  You mentioned" Luca".  We pulled him up on your web site and he is a sharp looking male.  Terra is in her first heat right now.  We hope she comes back in season within six months or so.  We plan on breeding her in her second heat June or July of 09. You were going to check her breeding and see if Luca would be a proper breeding mate for her. so everything is on go as far as we are concerned.  Just waiting on the proper time.  In your opinion, if  Luca is not a approved stud for us please let us know. Thanks DRH<>

Hi Claudia,

Sorry that it took a few days to write but all of our spare time has gone to Moon. The trip on Thursday night was long (till 4:00 a.m.) and we were tired Friday. It took all of us, including Moon, a day or two to recuperate. The surprise went well. My husband thinks that she is beautiful. She has all the markings that he loves in Border Collies. We have been spending a lot of time with Moon, who now has been renamed to Rainy. She is a great pup- well behaved and learns fast. She is also very affectionate. I haven’t had a chance to download photos to the computer but I will get some to you soon.
She went to the vet yesterday and all is well. I will get the contract on its way to you today.

Thank so much for our new family member,
Carol Briggs

Hello Claudia,

Clarissa loves the pup (Nyla). We all do. It has been non-stop here with holidays and new puppy. Here are a few photos. Clairssa is the blond haired girl--- Alexandra is the older sister in some of the pictures. One pictures has cousins from Thanksgiving. Nyla learns fast and loves to go to the park. She also loves to play tug of war and go for my pant leg with those little sharp teeth. We are working on that--- any suggestions would be appreciated. Clarissa took Nyla to her first dog lesson today. She has also had her third round of shots.
I apologize for not getting a message to you sooner-----------and I will be mailing the carrier back to you.........that was a real help.
Nyla was great on the plane ride back--- not a peep and going through security--- they just wanted to pet her.
I hope to stay in touch with you and send a few pictures now and then. It would be fun to see a few photos of her parents this way as well.
thanks,
kerry guy

Claudia, finally got outside and got a few pictures of Adam. It is a beautiful day today. Adam is still such a joy, he is so smart and attentive. We just love him so very much! Hope you have a Merry, blessed Christmas.

This is Mandy Schoenst, sorry it took me so long, but i am finally sending you pictures i bought Aaron from you but have since renamed him Rio. He is a dream come true for me i am on the road alot with my horses. Rio and my other dog are on the road with me wherever i go. He meets alot of people and other dogs and gets along with all of them. I am constantly complemented on his temperment. When we are at home he loves to help me work my horses on cattle by pushing the cattle back to me he is very cowy. When he was only a few months old he fractured his growth plate in one of his front legs, he must have gotten stepped on by one of my horses. We left it in a cast for a few weeks and although it grew a little crooked it doesn't bother him as you can see in the picture of him and my other dog working the cow. Thankyou for being so nice and answering all the questions i had about border collies. You raised and wonderful puppy that is know a huge part of my family. God bless you.

Hi Claudia!
We took Magnum to the vet today! The vet said we "had a very good pup". Magnum is adjusting to our family very well! He lets us know when he wants to go outside everytime. He played in the snow today!

UPDATE!!!!

Hi Claudia!

Sorry we haven't sent pictures of Magnum. Our computer has been broken.  Anyway, he is such a funny boy! Very spirited!  He loves chasing the cat around. Today he got a peach off the counter and ate the whole thing and spit the seed out!  Anyway,  he loves going to the Llano river with us, but gets quite car sick!!! He is a joy!

Hi Claudia,
Just wanted to let you know that Raider is doing great! I was expecting him
to cry a lot at night, but haven't heard a peep from him either night.
He and our other dog (Halo) are playing a lot and seem to be bonding well-
in fact, they are wrestling around right now. When they're not playing, then> one of the kids is playing with him. I guess the combo of the two make for
a very peaceful night.
Thank you again for meeting us in Sulphur Springs - that was a huge help.
We are so enjoying the newest addition to our family!
Very Best,
Shay

Hi Claudia,
Happy New Year! Hope everything is fine.
Just to let you know that we sent you the signed paper via regular mail today. Hopefully you will receive the document by Tuesday. Please let me know.
There is one photo attached of Bailey and us so you could see how big is she and finally see our faces. Bailey is doing fine, she is very smart and learning fast. She is sleeping in our room and every morning she wakes us at 5 or 6 am to do her stuff outside.
We are fan of your web page accesing the page one or two times a week. We are waiting to see the new pups.
Take care!
Efrain, Juan Diego and Yarimar

Last pic of cody. Hope u get these. From jason smyrl

From the looks of this clip taken in my driveway, It sure does not take much to make a 7 1/2 month old border collie puppy happy!
I am sure proud to have a good puppy like him to grow old with. He continues to do good in the Search and Rescue Program. The wife and I take him at least four days a week and let him trail and find us in the woods. Today I ran, not very fast, probably two city blocks into the woods and even crossed a park road to have him find me. She turned him loose and he had no trouble trailing and finding me the distance. When he finds me I throw him his favorite toy. Funny that he does not even seem the least bit happy to find me hiding behind a tree. He just looks up at me as to say, "Where is my Toy." Did good by cutting down his food and stopping giving him all the chicken pieces and other goodies with his meals. He is now on three cups of puppy chow daily with some treats. He can take the heat better now than he could two weeks ago.
Happy Mothers Day
Drh<>

Last Sunday after Skeeter did the Find a person in the woods, Return to me and set for a treat, then I say "Refind "and he returns to the lady in the woods one of the men in the group asked me if he came from some breeder, I do not remember the name.  I told him no he came from Claudia Wheeler in MtPleasant.  Again Skeeter did good.  We did not get to stay and watch the other puppies perform that Sunday we had to leave early for a family meal.  We repeated the Find and Refind procedure five times and he completed it each time.  The fifth time he was tired but he still did it.  I am trying to stay a little ahead of the training with my training here at home.  It is working.  I have now started him on More Training.

McGregor with his new mom Elyse in Flordia.

Claudia, it's been a while since we talked but I wanted to give you an update.  McGregor is doing very well and just graduated from the vet with his rabbie shot.  He is now 22.2 pounds and has very tall and very very long legs.  Acutally that is all he has is legs.

You were right about how great he is.  He is smart and very sweet with a great temperment.  I am attaching pictures of him to share.  His first swimming lesson.

Take care, Elyse and Jim Kenney

Ruby and Ringo Blu

Here are the pictures of my 'famous' girl and her favorite guy!  They are dirty, because their favorite pastime i swimming.....in anything, including their water bowl.....but they DO NOT like a bath!  They are both tracking some, we REALLY have to watch them around the horses though.

UPDATE!!!

Well we made it back to Fulshear a few minutes ago. She did great in the car and just slept most of the way. The first thing
she did when I took her out of the car and put her in the yard was potty, so we're off to a good start! Thanks for being so
accommodating! I'll keep you updated on how she's doing!

Hi Claudia,

Remi is doing great! She is playing well with all of her toys and really enjoying herself. She recently discovered the
drain in the walk-in shower and it's become her new favorite game. She loves exploring outside, but the heat wears her out
pretty fast. She loves the tennis ball and the cloth ball that you sent home with us. She is settling in great!

Thanks again!
Katie McCallum

Claudia,
Couldn't be more happy with Zeus!! He is very smart and lots of fun to
be around. He has 2 other dogs at the house to play with, a Vizsla
and mini-dachshund, and they're all best of friends. Thanks again.
I'll be in touch

~Phil

I changed his name from Ash to Cash after Johnny Cash. His crate
training has improved. He's doing a great job with potty training but
he still has trouble with telling me he has to go outside. He's
incredibly intelligent. Within the first week that I got cash he
learned sit and laydown and yesterday he figured out how to shake
hands. I've started to introduce the frisbee to him in hopes that he
will learn to catch one. It's become his favorite toy. Thank you again
for such a wonderful dog. Cash gets nothing but compliments anywhere I
take him for his sweet nature and good looks.

Hi Claudia,

I have attached some pictures of Shadow (Gracie and Chip) and Nine (Graice and Kohl).  There are also a few pics of Shadow as a puppy with my older bc Nell who I adopted from a rescue group.

I love looking at all your new puppies.  I also like how each dog has their own page.  I happened to notice that Sadie shares some common "ancestry" to the dog I grew up with, which means that Sadie and Chip's puppies are related to Shadow as well as my first bc.  Anyway, I would LOVE to have one of the puppies, but I don't think my boyfriend would go for that...we have a pretty full house already.

Have a great day!
Elizabeth Stark

Hi Claudia

I love you new puppies so sweet. Here are a few picture of Kody and a video of him playing in his pool.

Hope all is well

Please note: All of our puppies are registered with ABCA. All puppies are wormed and are current on all shots. If requested, Health Certificates are available for the puppy that you have purchased.  Puppies will not be available for pick up until they are at least 7 weeks old. You are more than welcome to come and visit and spend time with your puppy after it is three weeks of age. Due to cross contamination and illness, I have found that this is the best for the puppy. Additionally, it is very rare that a puppy has not been sold prior to being 6 weeks old. I will be more than happy to send you as many pictures that you want in order to make a decision on a puppy. If you need to keep a puppy here longer than eight weeks of age, that can be arranged. We are very understanding and will work with you in any way that we can. Shipping is avaliable through Continental Airlines! Price for shipping is $300.00 including the puppy crate, health certificate, and airline ticket.
